Lana Del Rey, she of the 2012 magazine cover deluge, the most recent of which is Vogue Australia, has changed her look. The 'National Anthem' singer debuted a brand new hair color at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London on Sept. 4, swapping out her signature, thick auburn waves in favor of rich, shiny, chocolate brown locks. It's a perfect, warm shade for fall.

LDR wore her strands in a long, loose curls, paired with coral lips and a white, satin dress. Since the singer's skin is porcelain and pale, the contrast of the light skin against that dark hair pops. At first glance, we think the shade is a bit too severe for Del Rey's peaches and cream complexion and that it is a jarring change, since the H&M model is so identified by her red hair. But we'll hand it to her. It's a mysterious look and she pulls it off.

Sometimes change, even a temporary one, is good and refreshing.
