You've had your fun, Disney conspiracy theorists, but it's time you acquiesced to the cold, hard truth: No, you did not see a bishop's erect penis during The Little Mermaid's wedding scene.

In the years since the Disney animated classic's 1989 release, fans have speculated that Prince Eric's wedding to a disguised Ursula included one very vulgar guest (you can see for yourself below). But film directors Ron Clements and John Musker told The Huffington Post in a new interview that anyone who claims to have spotted something lewd is sadly mistaken.

"It’s a misunderstanding," Clements said. "Honestly, we were there, so we know...[His knees] show other times in the movie that you can see clearly."

"The minister has knobby knees.” he continued. “He was designed with knobby knees by animator Tom Sito who was not thinking of anything other than this slightly weirdly designed character. That was never the intention."

Excellent — now you may proceed to share the childhood wonderment with your children again.

Oh, and one more thing — Clements insisted there's a scene in Aladdin that has similarly and falsely drawn criticism for being allegedly sexual. Fans have sworn to have heard the titular character saying "Good teenagers, take off your clothes" in the segment above, but Clements says it simply ain't the case.

"While we’re talking about this, in Aladdin when he’s with Jasmine on the balcony and the tiger is coming up to him, there’s an ad-lib that Scott Weinger [the voice of Aladdin] did to fill in a little space where we opened things up," Clements recalled. "He says, ‘Good, tiger. Take off, cat. Go!’ That’s what he said, swear to God, that’s what he said. Some people think he said something else."
